I have spent the better part of my career working for organizations that have pure intentions to better the beautiful game. I will tell you some of the things that were never in shortage in each environment, in each club bubble: things to do, unopened emails, people to help, programs in need of attention, coaches in need of help, players in need of guidance, parents in need of support. For many years, I have spent countless hours each week working closely with a team of passionate people, a volunteer board of directors, coaches, administrators, parents, players and eager volunteers. I did my absolute best and I’m proud of the work I have done. When my time at Burlington Youth Soccer Club came to an appropriate end after 3.5 years of service, I pursued a small dream of mine and went to work in the United States, for a 501C youth organization in West Windsor, New Jersey, close to Princeton. Hand on my heart, I truly believe I bettered the Club; We built a dream staff of qualified, eager and passionate coaches who dropped everything to help me improve the organization. We bonded together, we went to battle together and we made change. When the time came for me to move on, I began my search for other work. Through that search, I landed another small dream of mine: I began working for the governing body of soccer in Ontario, Ontario Soccer. It was a very exciting time for me. I had an awesome portfolio as a Player Development Manager. Developing and implementing a plan for the Canada Soccer Club Licensing program across Ontario; Supporting 10 organizations that participated in the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) and; Parasport. My absolute favourite part about working for Ontario Soccer was that there were no limits to the people and organizations we could help. Anyone that reached out and wanted help could receive our support. That is something I have sought to replicate by starting my own business, Better Sport Group. My genuine intention is to help any club, any academy, any person, any coach better the game – any where around the world – as long as I can be of service, I will commit my time and efforts for where I am needed.
